Kaffy whose real name is Kafayat Shafau is the Guinness book of world records holder and a Nigerian youth from the city of Lagos who has a great passion for setting goals and seeing them through. This has seen her become one of the most influential youth in Nigeria.
Kaffy who holds a diploma in Data Processing from Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State was involved in diverse extra-curricular activities all through her schooling; ranging from dance, sport to debate. After school, Kaffy continued to be involved in a lot of sporting activities, playing basketball for Sea Rovers in Lagos, and was at the time captain of Ogun State Basketball team and a swimming instructor.
The contestants woke up to their early morning fitness game, but Kemi was not really in a good mood for the day.
During the class, her not-too-good mood prevailed and got into Kaffy's black book which earned her suspension from all the classes for the day. She left the class in tears but rather than apologizing, she just stood there brooding.
In Mummy J's class, Kemi was asked to write an apology letter to Kaffy while she serves her punishment. What really could the matter be?
Guess we need to ask Kemi what caused the emotional breakdown.
Further into Mummy J's class, she asked some of the contestants to act out some emotions like joy, fear, anger and so on.
It was a lovely day and a cheerful one in the Academy for all the contestants after the teary week. Kemi wrote her apology to kaffy on almost countless full-scalp sheets and many tears which earner her way back into the classes after yesterday's suspension. So, the early morning fitness class went well with everyone in top spirit, dancing and cheering each other on. Guess that was a good way to have started the day.
In Uncle Ben and Ige's classes, it was rehearsals and more rehearsals, especially for Didi who has a falsetto song to perform this weekend. All eyes were on him to deliver one of Robin Thicke's most popular hits. The stakes are very high and those that have not really done so well are working hard at it.
The contestants were officially introduced to the Faculty. Joke Silver popularly called Mummy J, took the lead. Introducing themselves one after the other, they explained the intricacies of each training session in fitness by Kayode Ogundepo, song interpretation by Joke Silva, voice by Ige, music by Ben Ogbeiwi and choreography by Kaffy.
Mummy J, the Principal of the Academy, reeled out the rules to the contestants sternly. They are: English as the only language permitted in the Academy, no admittance in any of the classes upon lateness, no violence and no whispering.
Tough Uncle Ben had the contestants trembling with great trepidation as he went through the post-mortem of their last performances (Gala show). He informed the contestants that songs by Asa and Tracy Chapman, both guitarists, will be performed this weekend.
Miss Kaffy the dance instructor came in for a brief session. She gave them exercises to help to achieve effective breath control while singing.
As lots of activities unfold in the Academy, contestants had a little chit chat and got to know each other better. Of course, the session was garnished with fun, laughter and excitement in the air.
The sensational six went on a tour to visit some media houses; Next 24, NN24 and City People. The contestants were warmly received at all locations, accompanied by the vocal coach -Ige and dance instructor – Kaffy.
