With a big bang Monica, Iyanya, and Chuddy K kicked off MTN Project Fame Season 5 in grand style. After auditions in ten major cities in West Africa, the eighteen finalists sang their hearts out to convince the judges to give them a ticket into the highly coveted fifteen spaces in the Project Fame academy.
The hosts of the show - beautifully adorned Adora Oleh and Joseph Benjamin the dapper stepped out elegantly on the world class stage to kick off the night. The faculty and judges in their usual exquisite element were introduced with glamour. Worthy of note is the introduction of Ade Bantu, as a new member of the panel of judges, whom has begun to ingrain his wealth of experience and expertise into the music climate of Project Fame.
Searching through Sierra Leone this year was both work and fun for our crew. In season 1, we had Brenda, season 2 was Anis, Season 3 was Joecelia and last year Velma came in to represent her dear 'Mama Salone'.
Some contestansts who had been trying to give fame a chance since season 1 finally got a 'yes'. How far will this yes take them?
For the new contestansts, some got a yes while majority got 'NOs'.

the dark-skinned and very expressive Christian is of mixed Nigerian heritage. His father is Yoruba and his mother is from Benue state. Christian has lived in Markudi for most of his life and is a fourth year Computer-Science student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Markudi, in Benue state, Nigeria.
Even though he has lived in the middle belt for most of his life, Christian emphasises that he is a Yoruba boy through and through and nothing can change that. Christian loves television, movies, and travelling. A very jovial sort, Christian does not fail to point out that he is only jovial and happy-go-lucky when he wants to be. He takes his music seriously and intends to win this competition, bringing the first prize back to Benue like Monica Ogah did in Season four.
Chinyere made it into the Academy, but left with Sonia at the fourth week of the competition. Here is their duet which was their last stage performance on Project Fame Season 5:
She’s 23 years old, studies Linguistics and African Languages at University of Benin, Edo State – Nigeria, and is in love with a young man who she calls her best friend. He’s a base guitarist and her number one fan apart from her family.
Chinyere is the last-born child and she receives a lot of support from her older siblings who are all married. She tends to be a bit shy and taciturn but she does express herself well enough and her biggest asset is her crystal-clear voice.
Someone better tell Adora that I'm crushing on her and will die if I dont get her attention.Girl, you're blazing hott.
I love the swagger for this season 6! Marvelous,Ayo and Adetohun is the order of winning.
Pls help us find a solution to NTA breach of MTN contract. The useless station does whatever they like by choosing when to show PROJECT FAME AND WHEN NOT TO.Fans would be glued to TV at the slated time only for NTA to show project fame for 5 mins and another useless program for the rest of the hour PROJECT FAME Paid for. This aiit right now or na free dem dey show am?
Hi, my name is Dorcas and i just want to say that project Fame rocks. Ok Bye.
hello.singing is my talent and i want 2 be a great star in this nation
I think the audition judges from benin are ignorant about music. Why on earth should the first lady that was auditioned and sang beautifully was given a NO because of pronunciation? I thought things like that were worked on in the house not b4.
