The atmosphere in Ms. Ige and Uncle Ben’s individual classes tend to defer because of the different personalities of the two tutors. However, the contestants got to experience a combined dose of the music director and the voice coach’s class today.
Every season, in addition to being under the tutelage of the Faculty members, the contestants are also given opportunities to meet professionals from various fields and glean from their wealth of knowledge and experience.
We can always count on Mummy J to put an interesting spin to anything she does in the Academy. Day 10 begins with an extremely dramatic vocal training class by the Academy principal- Mummy J.
The session started off with all the contestants reciting the words of the first verse from Sunday performances, some contestants were made to act out their lyrics. The purpose of the class was to get the contestants to use their emotions while singing and to get them out of their shells.
For Yusuph, it seems the possibility of leaving the Academy soon began to make him rethink the judge’s perception of him. Mummy J then encouraged him that his jovial personality should not interfere with his singing and performances.
On a warmer note, the contestants helped Mirabel wish her mum a happy birthday with a surprise phone call, which brought all of them together.
