While we had the young, some elders were not left behind. While we had the very good singers, the funnies were not left out in the contest too. Chijioke must have made up his mind to impress the whole of West Africa. He did make a mark, he sweated his way to be heard but unfortunately, he got a 'try-again-next-year' which he took without much ado. Guess we should be on the look out for him.
Â
The Admiralty Way, Lekki definitely would not forget the influx of these contestants in a hurry. The judges - Sholla Allyson, Cobhams Asuquo, and Gloria Rhodes were on ground to listen and listen well to the dramatic, sonorous, and of course the funnies.
Â
Nobody would really want a 'NO' but most people definitely got that from the judges, while some took it in good fate, some contestants cried home disappointed. Friends cried on each other's shoulders and some were just left wondering what the judges actually wanted.
Â
While some people rejoiced, some could not control their tears, some felt disappointed, some after trying for the fifth time lost hope, but some have renewed vigour and hope to try harder and get back next season. Guess it is not about how many times you fall...
Â
So, the search continues. Let us look forward to who and who will make to the next stage- the final twenty-four (24), the competition has just begun...
