Christian Withdraws

MTN Project Fame West Africa Academy has announced the withdrawal of one of the contestants, Christian Owusu from the competition on health grounds.
According to the producers of the popular musical reality show, Christian, a contender for the ultimate prize, was examined by the Academy's medical team and was advised to have a six-week rest, hence his withdrawal from the show.

The guys set the show rolling, with ‘So In Love’ by Boys 2 Men. It was indeed a wonderful performance garnished with calculated dance steps. The ladies were on point with Destiny’s Child’s ‘Independent Woman’. With sonorous voices, lovely dance steps and girl power …they nailed it. As the d-day approaches, the tension increases. Some of the five contestants up for possible elimination were a surprise to many. The evening saw a classic opening as the ladies flaunted their femininity by performing ‘Unpretty’ by TLC. The guys couldn’t help but show off with ‘On Bended Knees’ by Boys II Men. Both renditions earned the contestants a rousing ovation. They sang with passion and style.
It was a night of tension and uncertainty, especially when the moment of truth arrived! This time, Modele, Samuel, Rhoda, Helen and Adebola were on probation. The moment arrived where all contestants became apprehensive as the five names with the least votes were called. In no particular order, they were: Modele, Shehu, Lindsey, Gold, and Joecelia.

Africa by Toto was performed by the contestants to set the evening rolling.
This week, Monica, Shehu, Rhoda, Adebola and Vwede got the least votes.
With three slots available, all five had to battle for survival with one last chance to prove themselves by performing the songs they performed on the African night.

The show opened with two sets of beautiful performances by the contestants. Tolu, Adebola , Ochuko & Yetunde sang ‘Show Me The Meaning’ by Backstreet Boys, Chidinma, Eyo & Kesse sang ‘One Sweet Day’ by Mariah Carey & Boys 2 Men. They were pleasant to watch.

Indeed there was no stopping of the show in spite of the setback during the week. The entire studio was abuzz as the contestants stormed the stage with major disco hits which included ‘And The Show Goes On’, modified from the original track by the Whipers and ‘Ain’t no stopping Us Now’ by Whitehead and MacFadden”. Their group performance was electrifying and the audience, ecstatic!
